Liars, Falsehoods, Misdirection and “Misinformation”
or: “Are they Politicians, or Psychotic Sociopaths?”
Everybody has had that skin crawling, butterfly in the stomach, dizzy feeling one time or another. The one where someone you know has told you something that you think is fishy. You don’t KNOW because there isn’t any OBVIOUS proof, but no matter how plausible it might seem you do know it’s off somehow. “Gaslighting” is a real thing and can even be used by people the closest to you.
Police, politicians, “Mainstream Media”, “Intelligence” Services and (other) criminals and criminal organizations regard it as a high art form.
Christians will tend to reason that they should honor and obey people with authority over them. This is all well and good, and truly biblical; the people who Jesus told you to honor and obey are your father and mother, your teachers and your pastor. People who have Godly authority over you, who deal with you righteously, with your best interests in mind and with a goal toward salvation, furtherance of the Gospel and the Kingdom of God.
NOT – someone who lies to you in order to get incriminating evidence.
NOT – someone who uses OR misuses authority over you granted by worldly law in order to imprison you or deprive you of God given rights.
NOT – someone who would lie to you to gain a position, achieve a political agenda or win an election.
NOT – an organization of any kind, that uses manipulation, lies, half-truths, misdirection, theft, murder and/or kidnapping to achieve ANY goal of ANY sort.
You owe them nothing.
Not even the slightest respect.
What exactly IS a “proto-prophet”?
or: “if his prediction came true, can he still be a false prophet?”
Being as I am writing from a personal viewpoint and experience, some conjecture, observation and Godly inspiration and not because “I read something somewhere”, I am creating new (as far as I know) ideas and may coin some terms to describe them. I will use biblical passages, what research exists (if any and if I can find it) to back it up. But this is NOT doctrine. This is purely an educated opinion.
First the definition:
Proto-Prophet: a person who has been called to the ministry office of a Prophet, but as yet either doesn’t understand the calling, or is not (yet?) a Christian so is unfamiliar with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Spiritual gifts and ministries. This person will have a strong compulsion to find and reveal the truth, and an ethical revulsion toward lies, misdirection and half-truths. They will find themselves under continuous attack and pressure of a physical, mental and spiritual nature, and often depending on their strength of character may even thrive on it.
Now, I am using Alex Jones as an example NOT because I think he is a prophet, false prophet or even a proto-prophet. But because he seems to tick off all the requirements (symptoms?) of what would make him a “proto-prophet” if he had the stamina, bombastic personality and wherewithal to become an obnoxious media personality…and I like watching him sometimes…and to troll a friend who hates him.
Now a “proto-prophet” is NOT a prophet. He is by any measure only a potential, a “maybe someday”. Generally speaking, the way he would get to the truth, or any “prediction” would not be through the spirit of God, but through research, digging, asking questions and other worldly means; None of which are denied to a Prophet of God. As a human being with the power of choice he can reach his potential and become a Prophet, fall to his fleshly temptations and become a FALSE Prophet, or live out his life doing neither.
What then is a FALSE Prophet?
or: “His prediction came true, sorta, so why are his pants on fire?”
Answer: His pants are on fire because he has one foot in hell.
A FALSE Prophet is a prophet of Satan. His predictions, pronouncements, discernments and encouragements are meant to lead you away from righteousness, because his motivation and desires are selfish and Satanic. He has made a conscious choice to oppose Godliness and righteousness and serve Satan and unrighteousness.
His predictions and discernments may even be superficially true. But his directions and instructions lead away from God, and into sin. What make a False Prophet = FALSE is not a wrong prediction. Prophecies fail. Prophets are human and can be wrong.
Seers and diviners and fortune tellers are not even False Prophets, though they are playing with evil spirits. Generally, they are just ignorant, or given over to a purely profit motive (pun intended).
A False Prophet speaks with the voice of his master, SATAN.
